Marie was born in Southern Cloudream and lived with her family before the appearance of the Great Void. She becomes a Soulworker by absorbing SinForce from Phlema's horn and Naomin which were used by the Soulworker unit to reboot the Resurrection Project. Phlema dies after exhausting all of power against the SoulWorkers.Ephnel, real name Marie, is a Blood SoulWorker who rivaled Suzie and was locked away in Ruin Fortress due to the Resurrection Project's failure. NED Company decides to intervene and takes over the defense of Grace City allowing the SoulWorkers to continue chasing Phlema. However this would give Phlema time to recover,creating a vicious cycle where he could destroy the city as the SFL focuses on defense. As the SoulWorkers pursued Phlema the main force of Firestream Battalion attacked the city, forcing the SoulWorkers to retreat and to focus on the safety of civilians. The Starry Forest League sees this as a chance to capture Phlema as he expended a majority of strength in the blast but fell into his trap. Phlema was able to sneak into Grace City and launched an explosive assault incinerating a significant portion of Grace City. Phlema shows little interest in Medo's plans and allows Medo to withdraw from the fight in Grace City. ![]() Medo fails to capture Ruin Fortress and talks to Phlema regarding his future actions. The four main generals of the Firestream Battalion disliked Kant and left the group according to Phlema's wishes.Īfter receiving word from Medo regarding the Starry Forest League's movements, he sends Medo and the Vacuum Fanatics to take over Ruin Fortress and perform a two-prong assault on Grace City. The duel proceeds with Kant easily defeating Phlema and usurps control of the Firestream Battalion from him. Phlema entrusted his horn to Naomin who he hoped would be able to form a rebel army to fight against him after he loses to Kant. Phlema sensed that he would be unable to defeat Kant and decided to break one of his horns: severely weakening Phlema. One day, Kant arrived at the Firestream Battalion and challenged Phlema to a duel. The Starry Forest League learned to never underestimate the threat of a Bashai leader after that operation. The rest of the week was described as a hunter mercilessly killing its prey until the entire group was annihilated. Phlema managed to ambush the group and immediately killed two SoulWorkers in the midst of the confusion, he killed another and the group's dynamic fell apart. The operation to defeat Phlema was described a one week long fight but the battle did not resemble anything like a fight. The Starry Forest League sent a force of fifteen veteran SoulWorkers to capture Phlema but ultimately failed and were completely annihilated. Phlema was a threat level S Bashai that appeared in the Great Bashai War and fought against the Starry Forest League in Western Cloudream. Phlema (Fiamma) was the leader of the Firestream Battalion.
